If you're a lover of snow, we've got tons of it!  The Keweenaw is the snowiest place in the US east of the Rockies.

Hard to believe that this sugar confection tunnel of snow is major US Higway 41 which starts in Miami and ends a few miles from here in Copper Harbor. View fullsize

Hard to believe that this sugar confection tunnel of snow is major US Higway 41 which starts in Miami and ends a few miles from here in Copper Harbor.

We access the cabin via skis or snowshoes, carrying our supplies in a backpack or sled (or both) for a 0.5 mile trip across frozen Lake Medora.
